With inventory levels low, pre construction has become a favourite option for me to show and talk about with homebuyers.
Not all builders are created equally, so here are my top tips on choosing the right builder.
At the end of the day, make sure to hire a Real Estate Agent [like me] to represent you, even when buying new.
Tip: When comparing Builders, your first factor may be cost. A Real Estate Agent, should be able to give you a Buyer’s price sheet to give you the deposit structure, and breakdown of any incentives you may receive upon purchase.
Tip: Ask about timing for construction. When will your home or condo be ready to close and move-in. Some builders may be behind or delivery may be farther out, and may not work with your timeline.
Tip: Ask about customization, and views. You may choose to go with a builder that offers more options for you to customize, and has that view you desire.
Tip: Check the Tarion website, to make sure the builder is registered, and the breakdown of the warranty on the home.
