East Gwillimbury (EG) is a unique, family-orientated town with an area covering around 238 square km in northern York Region, a part of the Greater Toronto Area. It features small urban areas and villages including Holland Landing, Queensville, Mount Albert, River Drive Park and Sharon, which are home to 34,637 residents as of 2021. That’s a population jump of 44% in only 5 years, resulting from a combination of increased migration and live births. 

As of 2016, most town residents were either married or common law, contributing to the higher-than-average median household income of $104,716 at that time.

Giving extra life to the town is the East Holland River which flows through its west side. It provides great opportunities for boating and fishing, and scenic views from its surrounding trails. In the south, its neighbours are Newmarket and Stouffville, and in the north, it’s only one km from Cooks Bay.

In the east is the Rail Yard Wake & Aqua Park, which shows some of the area’s history and provides a great opportunity to cool off and have fun in the summer sun.
